  • 12 lasagna sheets
  • 2 lb ground beef and pork
  • 2 cups tomato passata
  • 3 cups bechamel
  • 2 cups mozzarella
  • 1 cup Parmigiano
  • 1 onion, carrot, celery
  • Olive oil

Method

  1. 1 Soften the minced vegetables, brown the meat, add passata, and simmer the ragu two hours.
  2. 2 Build layers of pasta, ragu, bechamel, and cheese in a deep dish.
  3. 3 Repeat until full, ending with bechamel and a heavy blanket of cheese.
  4. 4 Bake at 375F for 40 minutes until bubbling, then rest 15 minutes before slicing.
