Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 3 cups sharp cheddar
  • 1 cup gruyere
  • 1 cup panko
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder

Method

  1. 1 Boil the macaroni just shy of tender.
  2. 2 Make a roux, whisk in milk, and melt in the cheeses with mustard.
  3. 3 Fold the pasta into the sauce and pour into a baking dish.
  4. 4 Top with buttered panko and bake at 375F until golden and bubbling.
