Classic Apple Pie
A lattice-topped pie of spiced apples in a flaky, all-butter crust.

Ingredients
- 2 pie crusts
- 6 apples, sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 egg for wash
Method
- 1 Toss the apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon.
- 2 Fill the bottom crust and dot with butter.
- 3 Weave a lattice top, crimp, and brush with egg wash.
- 4 Bake at 400F for 50 minutes until golden and bubbling.
